Good Fishermen

The first men God called to be His Disciples where fishermen. To be a good fisherman requires patience (it can take hours to catch one fish), attentiveness (you have to watch your line or the fish will steal your bait), And being knowledgeable (you have to know the water you are fishing and what type of bait to use to catch different fish. The bait used to catch a blue gill won’t work on a shark)

Good fishermen will get their hands dirty to catch one fish. Today the Holy Spirit is reminding us that God will leave the 99 to find 1 lost sheep. He will patiently wait, attentively watch, pursue, and use the necessary bait to catch 1 fish or find 1 sheep.

In this season God is calling us to follow His example and leave the 99 to find the 1. The 1 little girl who is comes to you for guidance, the 1 child in house who is trying to understand growing pains, the 1 friend that asks you to stand in the gap for her while she is facing the hardest seasons of her life, the friend who asks you to pray for their child, and the couple who asks you to cover their marriage. Today God is calling us to patiently wait for, attentively watch, and yield to His prompting to catch the 1.

g to catch the 1.
