Armor Of God

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:10-18

As children of God our covering comes from Christ; therefore, we must put on His armor everyday.

The morning of the 2nd Beauty For Ashes Family Conference I struggled with selecting the right outfit to wear.There was nothing in my closet that would cover the feelings of fear, anxiety and defeat.

As I stood in front of my closet I heard the Holy Spirit whisper in my ear..

PUT ME ON

Put on the full armor of God!

God reminded me to put the Belt of Truth around my waist, His Truth holds everything together; to cover my heart with the breastplate of righteousness, His righteousness protects us; to put peace on my feet, and bring the peace of God into every room I walk into; to hold up my shield of faith, as it will block every dart, attack and plot of the enemy; to put the helmet of salvation on my head, to meditate on His finished work and rest in the promises of God; and to pick up the double edged sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, the Word of God will obliterate every lie of the enemy.

God has given us a strategy to overcome any battle, mountain, or sea we face. Put Him on! Put on the full armor of God.

Regardless the occasion always show up, dressed up, and covered in the full armor of God.
