Beauty For Ashes

The end of last year teams, organizations and churches around the world lead meetings about 2020 vision, focus, clarity, and alignment. As we all prayed for perfect vision and alignment; seeing people from city to city, coast to coast, and continent to continent, fall on their knees and call on the name of Jesus like never before has me in awe! Perfect alignment is being obedient to the word and will of God. His will is that none would perish but that we would all repent, and turn back to Him. As people are panicking around the world, I hear the Holy Spirit saying it’s not what it looks like! I need my children to humble themselves, drop all idols, and follow me. In the book of Acts everyone in the first church gave so that no one went without. As a result there were no needy among them, and the Good News was spread. Today, healthcare professionals, homeless shelter staff, police, grocery store employees, volunteers, and other essential workers are running into the line of fire to save their neighbor. We are witnessing the scripture love thy neighbor as thy self manifest in communities around the world. Because of the shut down people are spending time with their family. For the first time in a long time my family is getting the best of me not the rest of me. Prior to the shut down, my family would get whatever I had left after work, school, serving, and ministering in the shelter. If family is my first ministry why did they get my last? Today, idols have fallen, prodigal sons and daughters are returning home, and the church is being the light and salt of the earth. If a child of God is called home during this pandemic... was it unto death or unto eternal life? I hear the Spirit of God saying. Do you see me now?
